Hi,
I'm Karin, aka Mom in France.
I live on the French Riviera with E, my French husband, and our two boys. E and I met when I lived and worked in Boston. The technology start-up where I worked (scooters in the hallway, a billiard table and all the regular IT trappings) was acquired by his employer, a larger, more corporate European-based firm. In the fall of 2002, after 2 years of a trans-Atlantic relationship filled with jet planes and fun visits, I packed up my tiny city apartment and moved to the south of France.
Mom in France was born shortly after Boo in 2007 as a way to make sense of being a parent in a culture not my own. Over time it has evolved to not only covering expat life and parenting, but also as a resource for those visiting or moving to France and provides a place for me to share what inspires me French design, cuisine and fashion.
I love hearing from you so don't hesitate to comment or email me.
I can be reached at mom.in.france *at* hotmail.com - I will always respond.
Thanks for reading!

Hi Karin,
I stumbled onto your blog looking up info for our upcoming cruise. We are originally from NY (near Canada) and living in Germany.
My daughter can pronounce words that I, for the life of me can't pronounce correctly. The cruise ports in Cannes, and I was thinking of taking the family (my parents included) to Antibes. The old town looks beautiful. I'm sure the little one will want to play in the sand, if we can find any. Are the beaches, old town, and Marina close enough to each other to walk to? Where should I get off the train/bus coming from Cannes? Thanks for your help. I also have a bunch of stuff I never unpacked and is collecting a ton of dust.
Kind regards, Thuvi

Bonjour! I have just made my way to your blog via Ask Moxie and am really enjoying reading through your posts. Would you consider letting me profile you for my blog, Bringing up Baby Bilingual? I have a list of questions about raising children with more than one language, because it's so helpful to find out what works (and what doesn't) for other families. I'm especially interested in French/English ones like mine.
Please drop by and take a look and let me know if you're interested! You can get in touch at babybilingual (at) blogspot (dot) com.
